Candles With a (Re)purpose
Hello, fellow candle lovers! Have you ever found yourself with a candle vessel that's almost empty but you feel too guilty to throw it away? Have no fear, Bougie’s here to offer a solution: repurposing your Bougie candle holders in a practical, eco-friendly way.
Clean it out
I know you may be thinking, "But what about the wax residue?" We’ve got you, friends. There are a couple of ways to remove leftover wax and wick so that you can fully enjoy your newly repurposed vessel:
Freeze it for a few hours, which will make the wax brittle and easy to pop out with a butter knife.
Use a hair dryer to soften the remaining wax, then carefully wipe it out. You can use a bit of isopropyl alcohol to remove any last bits.
Once the wax is removed, a little soap and water for the smaller holders, or a quick pop in the dishwasher (these glass holders are dishwasher safe!) and you’re good to go.
Upcycle!
No surprise that one of our favorite ideas is using these vessels as drinking glasses. Re-using them is a perfect solution to single-use cups and a fun way to add a bit of personality to your beverage game. Imagine sipping a refreshing bevvie from a vessel that once held your favorite candle. It's a second life for your candle holder, and who doesn't love a good reinvention story, am I right Madonna?
Another fun idea – with their stylish bamboo lids, these vessels make excellent home organization pieces. The small golden Baby Bougie tins work for this, too. Use them to store anything from cotton balls in your bathroom to paper clips on your desk. Or maybe you are a devoted plant parent. They're also perfect containers for holding small succulents or air plants. And of course, you can always recycle the containers, but where’s the fun in that?
The possibilities are endless in adding some extra flair to your home in a bougie-on-a-budget, eco-friendly way. Give Mother Earth a break, and don't let those empty candle vessels go to waste. With a second life as drinking glasses or home decor pieces, not only will you be doing your part for the environment, but you'll also be keeping those good Bougie vibes in your home.
